Rani Engineering is seeking a Project Engineer (Roadway) in Minneapolis, MN, to join our transportation design team. The role focuses on leading roadway, drainage, and utility design for public and private clients, with emphasis on delivering high-quality projects on time and within budget.

The candidate will oversee design calculations, coordination with multiple groups, and preparation of plans and technical reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or similar from an accredited school.
• Minnesota Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain their license within six months
• 4+ years of experience in transportation engineering or related field
• Strong technical skills in transportation engineering and the ability to prepare, read and understand construction plans and technical documents
• Excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic will allow you to excel in this position
• Design software packages familiarity, preferably OpenRoads Designer; AutoCAD Civil 3D experience is a plus; Modeling experience preferred
• Ability to work 40 hours a week

Responsabilités

• Lead design and coordination of roadway, drainage, and utility projects for our public and private clients
• Collaborate with other groups/disciplines within the company to deliver top quality projects and unparalleled service to our clients
• Perform design calculations, quantity and cost estimates, and plan preparation
• Compile, write, and edit quality technical reports, feasibility reports, letters, memos and specifications for projects
• Assist with proposals, project budgets and schedules, planning activities, and public involvement and other presentation opportunities
• Oversee the work of EITs or Technicians
• Plan, direct, and coordinate project activities to ensure that projects are delivered within prescribed time frames and budgets
