Ilocatum in Tampa, FL is seeking a Project Engineer for heavy civil highway projects. The role focuses on engineering controls, cost tracking, and schedule management across multiple FDOT-influenced projects in Florida.

The candidate should have 5–8 years in civil construction, be based in the Tampa Bay area or willing to relocate, and possess a BS in Civil Engineering with proficiency in Primavera P6, Excel, and related tools.

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in civil construction (office and field).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsabilités

• Review contract and specifications in their entirety.
• Support Project Manager and Superintendent on day-to-day needs.
• Prepare and update project schedule in Primavera P6.
• Track quantities, project costs and forecasting.
• Get pricing from subcontractors and vendors, including change orders.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers and crews to resolve field conflicts.
• Support monthly billing, cash flow projections and change order processing.
• Run document control for submittals, contract documents and record drawings.
• Review HeavyJob daily reports for accuracy.
• Keep NPDES permits, SWPPP, inspections and survey staking on track.
