Qualifications

• Two years of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor or one year as a Roadway Programs Coordinator; or
• Two years of professional experience in roadway maintenance management system analysis/implementation with a related bachelor's degree; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

Responsibilities

• System Analysis: Evaluate data and performance in multiple Transportation systems to support maintenance operations.
• User Support: Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting for District and County personnel using Maintenance-IQ and related tools.
• Data Integrity: Identify issues, diagnose causes, and implement resolutions to improve accuracy across various platforms.
• Technical Coordination: Collaborate with Information Technology teams to test updates, improve user experience, and implement system enhancements.
• Training Development: Create learning materials and lead statewide training sessions to help staff use systems effectively.
• Operational Planning: Apply system data to assist in sectional cycle maintenance planning and support accreditation requirements.

DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports statewide maintenance planning and technical analysis that improve how highway operations are managed. You will also guide system users and drive enhancements to key Transportation tools. As a Roadway Programs Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:

• System Analysis: Evaluate data and performance in multiple Transportation systems to support maintenance operations
• User Support: Provide training, guidance, and troubleshooting for District and County personnel using Maintenance-IQ and related tools
• Data Integrity: Identify issues, diagnose causes, and implement resolutions to improve accuracy across various platforms

Work Schedule and Additional Information

• Full-time employment
• Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
• This position will be headquartered at a district office that is closest to candidates home and has available space.
• This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
• Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.

Required Experience, Training & Eligibility

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements

• Two years of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration or one year experience as a Roadway Programs Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
• Two years of professional experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
• Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
