Qualifications

  • Two years of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration or one year experience as a Roadway Programs Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of professional experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.

This position supports statewide maintenance planning and technical analysis that improve how highway operations are managed. You will also guide system users and drive enhancements to key Transportation tools. As a Roadway Programs Manager 1, you will perform the following duties:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • This position will be headquartered at a district office that is closest to candidates home and has available space.
  • This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS).
  • Telework:You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview.
  • Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
  • Two years of experience as a Roadway Programs Technician Supervisor(Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration or one year experience as a Roadway Programs Coordinator (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or
  • Two years of professional experience in the analysis, development and implementation of methods and techniques used in a roadway maintenance management system and a bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or in a civil engineering related discipline; or
  • Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
