Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking a skilled Pipe Layer to install underground pipelines for road construction in our Manassas, VA area.

You will prepare and lay out sanitary and storm sewer pipe systems, ensuring alignment and proper slope according to blueprints and supervisory directions. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of underground pipe laying experience, 2–4 years in road construction, and a strong sense of urgency to meet deadlines while working in a team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 3–5 years of underground pipe laying experience.
• 2–4 years of road construction experience preferred.
• Knowledge of pipe laying techniques.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Install sanitary and storm sewer pipe systems.
• Lay out pipe routes per specifications and coordinate with supervisor.
• Cut pipes to required lengths.
• Align and position pipes for welding or sealing.
• Check slopes using levels or lasers.
• Connect pipe pieces and seal joints with cement or glue.
• Tap and drill holes into pipes for auxiliary lines.
• Cover pipes with earth or other material.
• Grade and level trench bases with tamping tools.
• Perform other general labor tasks as required.
• Promote and adhere to the company’s safety program.
