Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL exam written pass required; tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, and interstate status within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, incl. filling joints/cracks, patching potholes, flagging/directing traffic, setting up traffic control devices, loading/unloading materials, mowing, and roadside cleanup.
• Maintains/repairs state highway facilities, incl. signs/guardrails, curbs/gutters, painting buildings/equipment, servicing machinery.
• Operates vehicles to transport employees/equipment/materials, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and uses auger/trencher/backhoe/forklift/ trucks.
• May repair bridge decks/drains and clean bridge bents/caps at heights using ladders/scaffolding.
• May install signs; weld/cut steel posts; repair/maintain signs including large signs at overhead positions.
