Qualifications

• Passing grade on the written portion of the CDL exam is required prior to hire; tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions (Class B), and interstate status within 60 days after hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintains state highway systems, including patching potholes, traffic control, and clearing debris.
• Maintains highway facilities, such as signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment.
• Operates vehicles and equipment to transport staff and materials, plow snow, and spread ice control materials.
• May repair bridges and signs, and install/repair signage as needed.
