Job summary

State of Oregon, Oregon Department of Transportation, Delivery and Operations Division – Region 4, Mitchell, is seeking a Highway Maintenance Specialist to operate snowplows, deicer trucks, and other equipment to keep roads and bridges safe.

You will perform pothole patching, concrete work, maintain fences and drainage, clear debris, and assist with vegetation management and storm response. This is a full-time role with safety at the forefront.

Qualifications

• One year of highway maintenance or two years of related experience.
• Must possess a current CDL-A with tanker endorsement or be able to obtain within timelines.
• Valid US driver license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and work in all weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowplows, deicer trucks and other equipment to clear roadways.
• Perform pothole patching, concrete repair, and small inlay work.
• Maintain fences, guardrails, drainage structures and vegetation.
• Respond to weather-related emergencies and assist with traffic control.
