Allen County War Memorial Coliseum is seeking a Maintenance Worker II to perform detailed maintenance, repair, and safety tasks on county roads and highways in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Work hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm with on-call 24/7 availability and potential overtime based on operations.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, at least one year operating trucks and heavy equipment, and a valid Class B CDL.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED and at least one year experience operating trucks and heavy equipment.
• Must possess a Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) to operate County vehicles and equipment.
• Working knowledge of basic roadway construction.
• Ability to operate dump trucks, chain saw, construction equipment and tools and other job related equipment.
• Knowledge of repair and proper installation of water runoff systems and drainage.

Responsibilities

• Inspects and maintains trucks and heavy machinery used on county roads and highways.
• Replaces catch basins and repairs field tile for proper drainage.
• Assists with traffic control and flagging operations.
• Performs machine and equipment repairs.
• Supports snow removal, brush cutting, and related tasks.
