Job summary

The Allen County War Memorial Coliseum seeks a Utility Specialist in the Maintenance department to perform preventive maintenance on air handling units, water heaters, and related equipment, with basic electrical and plumbing duties. You will help keep county buildings safe and functional.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, repairs, travel between county buildings, on-call rotations, and seasonal tasks.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED is required.
Boiler certification required.
Valid driver's license and ability to travel between county buildings.
Knowledge of water softeners and testing samples.
Knowledge of basic electrical and plumbing work and maintenance operations.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance on air handling units, boilers, chillers, and related equipment.
Carry out basic electrical and plumbing repairs and tests.
Maintain water heaters, water softeners, and related appliances; replace parts as needed.
Travel to other county buildings for maintenance and repairs.
Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hour calls as needed.
Assist with seasonal maintenance such as mowing, snow removal.
