Job summary

Texas Department of Transportation in Pecos, TX, is hiring a Transportation Maintenance Tech I/II/III for the Pecos Maintenance Office. Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license at time of application.
• Must have or obtain a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with an 'N' endorsement within 120 calendar days of employment.
• Ability to operate light and heavy highway equipment.

Responsibilities

• Assist in roadway maintenance and repair, and operate equipment with minimal supervision.
• Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and complete required reports.
• Assist with traffic control and aid the public during emergencies.
• Maintain highways, rights-of-way, and perform related duties as assigned.
• Coordinate with contractors on maintenance projects and ensure compliance with plans.
