Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CDL with Class A endorsement required.
• Experience operating heavy equipment and performing road construction work preferred.
• Knowledge of road names and geography helpful.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and repairs roads, culverts, right-of-ways; patches roads and replaces culverts.
• Snow plow operation; salts and sands roads.
• Drives truck to haul road construction materials such as gravel and asphalt.
• Operates equipment like grader, dozer, mower, backhoe, bobcat and front-end loader.
• Inspects and maintains vehicles and equipment; completes reports such as timesheets and inspections.
• Assists with engineering operations as necessary.
• (ii) For Maintenance Worker III: rebuilds sections of roads and paints directional symbols on roadways.
