Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician in Georgia to perform highway maintenance tasks under supervision. The role involves training in highway/roadway routines and physical outdoor work.

Typical duties include culvert cleaning, mowing, patching pavements, storm cleanup, fence and sign repair, and operation of maintenance equipment. DCS offers strong compensation and generous benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Be able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.
