Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC is looking for a Highway Maintenance Technician to carry out various maintenance services including cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing, and patching pavements. This position offers a unique 4-day work week along with paid training to obtain your CDL license, enhancing your career growth within the company.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid Georgia driver’s license with a clean driving record for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated training and experience in maintenance of roadway activities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Highway Maintenance services like cleaning culverts and mowing.
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and assist in storm cleanup.
• Repair fences, signs, and perform litter removal.

Skills

Ability to work in adverse weather conditions

Ability to lift moderately heavy objects

Ability to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods

Accurate eye-hand coordination

Ability to operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance

Job description

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to conduct a variety of Highway Maintenance Services.

This position offers a 4-day work week, as well as paid training to get your CDL license to grow within the company and yourself!

We are seeking a qualified applicant that will train in Highway/Roadway Routine Maintenance activities such as cleaning and clearing culverts, mowing and clearing brush from roadsides, patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders, assisting in storm cleanup, repairing fences, sign repair, litter/debris removal, and emergency response.

Major Duties and Responsibilities

• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions.


• Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.


• Ability to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods of time.


• Accurate eye‑hand coordination.


• Ability to adapt to changing situations with work plans and schedules due to workload or seasonal demands.


• Ability to operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.


• Ability to use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.


• Ability to use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers, etc.


• A high standard of work ethic and commitment toward work.


• Any combination of training or experience that would enable the applicant to perform essential job functions in Maintenance of Roadway Activities.

Qualifications

Education

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.

Experience

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.


• Must possess a valid Georgia driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.


• Must have demonstrated training and/or experience to perform essential job functions in maintenance of roadway activities.
