Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking a Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks under supervision and train in routine maintenance. The role involves outdoor work and operating various tools and equipment.

Candidates must be 18+, hold a valid driver’s license with 3+ years of clean driving, and be able to work in adverse weather. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are offered by DCS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Able to adapt to changing work plans or schedules.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing, and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws and weed eaters.
