Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a variety of highway maintenance tasks under close supervision, including culvert cleaning, mowing, patching, storm cleanup, and equipment operation.

Requirements include being at least 18, a clean driving record with a valid license, ability to work in adverse weather, and the capacity to lift moderately heavy objects. DCS offers competitive pay and excellent benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have a High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects and stand for long periods.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, brooms).
• Use power tools (chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers).
