Knowledge of highway maintenance equipment, materials, methods, and procedures.
Safety shoes required.
Skill in the operation and maintenance of hand and power tools; equipment used for highway maintenance and repair.

Responsibilities

Operate light, medium, and heavy-duty highway equipment and vehicles for maintenance and construction tasks.
Perform emergency roadway operations including snow removal and accident response; provide traffic control.
Conduct pre-trip inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment.
Implement proper work zone safety and traffic control per MUTCD.
Use hand and power tools to complete assigned tasks.
Assist in inventory tracking and record-keeping for maintenance supplies.
