Job summary

Maine Department of Transportation in Aurora, ME seeks a Transportation Worker to help keep roadways and bridges safe. You’ll perform road work and culvert replacement in summer and plowing in winter, with paid CDL training and Snowfighter programs and opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• State-paid medical examination including a drug test and respirator fit test.
• Ability to obtain and retain required licenses within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Maintain roadways and bridges to keep Mainers safe.
• Perform road repair, culvert replacement and plowing across seasons.
• Learn new skills with CDL/Snowfighter training and eligible promotions.
