Job summary

Qualifications

• Valid motor vehicle operator’s license is required.
• Must obtain a Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) within six months of placement.

Responsibilities

• Perform manual labor during roadway and right-of-way maintenance.
• Operate small equipment and standard dump truck while hauling materials and supplies to and from job sites.
• Flags traffic during various maintenance activities.
• Conducts and documents pre-trip equipment/vehicle inspection in accordance with the department's most current rules, policies and procedures for fleet safety.
• Performs duties during snow/ice and other inclement weather events.
• Performs on-call services for after-hour emergencies.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
