MoDOT seeks maintenance workers for Greenfield Maintenance Facility to perform routine, entry-level duties under direct supervision. The role offers a CAREER-LADDER path with potential promotion as skills and experience grow.

The position includes a defined benefits package with pension, generous leave, holidays, and health insurance eligibility. Training and CDL prerequisites are part of the onboarding process, with overtime and night work possible.

Qualificações

• Physical stamina required for outdoor work and handling materials.
• Continuous outdoor work with exposure to hazards and varying weather.
• CDL-related testing and licensing prerequisites must be completed within 60 days of hire.

Responsabilidades

• Maintains state highway systems, including filling roadway joints and cracks and patching potholes; flagging and directing traffic; setting up signs, cones, arrow boards, and other traffic control devices; loading, unloading, spreading, and hauling materials and supplies; cutting and clearing brush; removing trash and debris from roadsides; cleaning and clearing ditches.
• Maintains, cleans, and repairs state highway facilities, including repairing signs and guardrails; cleaning curbs and gutters; painting buildings and equipment; servicing equipment and machinery.
• Operates vehicles to transport employees, equipment, machinery and/or materials; plows snow and spreads ice control materials; mows right of way; operates auger, trencher, backhoe, forklift, and various trucks.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, and clean bridge bents/caps at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• May install signs, inspect signs, pour concrete sign footings, weld and cut sign posts, and repair/maintain signs.
