Job summary

Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) seeks aMaintenance Worker at Greenfield Maintenance Facility to support routine roadway and facility maintenance. The role offers supervision-based responsibilities with potential for advancement through the CAREER-LADDER pathway.

You will perform diverse field tasks, operate equipment, and participate in safety and compliance protocols while delivering essential services for Missouri's roadways.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET is required.
• Valid Driver's License is required; tanker endorsement and CDL Class B endorsement must be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• Must pass a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems: fill joints/cracks, patch potholes, direct traffic, setup signs and cones.
• Maintain/update state highway facilities: repair signs/guardrails, clean curbs, paint buildings/equipment, service machinery.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel/equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials, and manage traffic control devices.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• Install and inspect signs, weld/repair posts, and maintain sign infrastructure.
