State of Missouri’s MoDOT is seeking an entry-level maintenance worker to perform routine duties maintaining the state’s roadways and facilities. Work is performed under direct supervision, with opportunities for career advancement through CAREER-LADDER positions.

You will help with highway maintenance, traffic control, sign installation, and equipment operation, with potential overtime, night shifts, and outdoor exposure in a dynamic transportation environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• CDL written exam and driving test with tanker endorsement and Class B; interstate status within 60 days after hire.

Responsabilités

• Maintains state highways, including filling joints, patching potholes, flagging traffic, setting signs and traffic control devices.
• Maintains and repairs highway facilities, signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment.
• Operates vehicles to transport personnel, equipment, and materials; performs snow plowing and ice control duties.
• May repair bridges/decks and perform work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• May install signs, inspect signs, pour concrete footings, welds posts, and maintain sign structures.
