Job summary

State-of-Missour is seeking candidates for a Branson Maintenance Facility role. The position covers routine maintenance of highways and facilities, with opportunities for career advancement through a CAREER-LADDER path.

Successful applicants may be hired at entry, intermediate, or senior level based on skills and experience. Responsibilities include roadway upkeep, sign and guardrail work, equipment operation, and potential bridge/drain repairs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET
• Valid Driver's License
• A passing grade on the written portion of the commercial driver's license (CDL) exam is required prior to hire date. Must pass the driving portion of the CDL exam with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions (Class B), and interstate status (EI or NI) within 60 days after being hired.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state roadway systems, including filling joints and cracks, patching potholes, flagging and directing traffic, setting up signs and traffic control devices, and handling materials and supplies.
• Maintain and repair state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, gutters, and equipment; service machinery and vehicles.
• Operate vehicles to transport personnel and equipment, plow snow, spread ice control materials, mow rights of way, and operate various trucks and heavy equipment.
• May repair bridge decks and drains, and perform work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• May install and inspect signs, pour concrete footings, weld and maintain sign posts.
