Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Must pass CDL written exam and driving portion with tanker endorsement within 60 days of hire.
• Successful completion of a work simulation examination and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Maintain state highway systems including filling roadway joints and cracks, patching potholes, flagging and directing traffic, and setting up traffic control devices.
• Maintain, clean, and repair state highway facilities, including signs, guardrails, curbs, and buildings.
• Operate vehicles to transport employees and equipment, plow snow, and spread ice control materials; use tractors, mowers and various trucks.
• Repair bridge decks and drains and work at heights using ladders or scaffolding.
• Install signs and inspect large signs, weld and cut steel posts, and maintain signage.

CDL exam within 60 days
