Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform a range of highway maintenance tasks under supervision, with training in highway/roadway routine maintenance. The role offers a 4-day work week and competitive pay.

Responsibilities include culvert work, mowing, patching pavements, storm cleanup, fence repair, litter removal, emergency response, and operation of maintenance equipment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ years old with 3+ years driving record.
• Ability to work in adverse weather.
• Ability to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop, or walk for long periods.
• Strong eye-hand coordination.
• Adaptability to changing schedules and plans.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter and debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools such as shovels, rakes, brooms, etc.
• Use power tools such as chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers.
