Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks under supervision, with a four-day work week.

You will clean culverts, mow roadside brush, patch pavements, assist in storm cleanup, repair fences and signs, operate maintenance equipment and use hand and power tools.

DCS emphasizes safety, competitive compensation, and a family-like work environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be 18+ years old and have a valid driver's license with 3+ years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects.
• Able to bend, climb, stand, stoop or walk for long periods.
• Accurate eye-hand coordination.
• Able to adapt to changing work plans and schedules.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mow and clear brush from roadsides.
• Patch broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter/debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools and power tools as required.
