Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services, LLC is seeking a skilled Highway Maintenance Technician to perform highway maintenance tasks and related duties under close supervision. The position features a 4-day work week and opportunities for training in highway/roadway maintenance.

Candidates must be 18+, have a valid driver’s license with at least 3 years of clean driving, and be able to work in adverse weather. Physical tasks include lifting and operating hand and power tools as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver’s license and at least 3 years of clean driving.
• Able to work in adverse weather conditions.
• Able to lift moderately heavy objects and endure long periods of bending, climbing, standing or walking.

Responsibilities

• Clean and clear culverts.
• Mowing and clearing brush from roadsides.
• Patching broken or eroded pavements and shoulders.
• Assist in storm cleanup.
• Fence and sign repair.
• Litter and debris removal.
• Emergency response.
• Operate equipment used in Highway Maintenance.
• Use hand tools (shovels, rakes, brooms).
• Use power tools (chainsaws, pole saws, weed eaters, backpack blowers).
