Responsibilities include assisting with street maintenance, clearing debris, maintaining and operating city vehicles and equipment, and supporting Public Works with dependable attendance and courteous public interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred; some related work experience is desired.
• Basic traffic control and safety procedures and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assists in maintaining and repairing streets, roadways, and infrastructure, in compliance with PWD safety regulations and procedures.
• Performs unskilled and semi-skilled labor tasks; assists with street maintenance, clears foliage and debris, and cleans drains.
• Maintains and operates PWD vehicles and equipment according to Department standards.
• Follows safety precautions and reports problems, emergencies, unsafe acts and injuries.
• Supports division operations with regular and timely attendance.
• Interacts with the public courteously and maintains confidentiality; performs other duties as required.
