Job summary

The City of Odessa, Texas seeks a maintenance worker for the Utilities/BDP department. Under basic supervision, you will perform maintenance tasks on buildings and grounds at the Bob Derrington Plant, Water Reclamation Plant and other offsite facilities, operating vehicles, equipment, and tools in compliance with safety regulations.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of general maintenance work experience highly desired but not required.
• Knowledge of safety rules and regulations in public utilities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean Water Reclamation Plant equipment and perform preventive maintenance.
• Operate trucks, specialized tools, and machinery following safety procedures.
• Assist plant workers, report problems and emergencies, and maintain attendance.
