Texas Department of Transportation’s Odessa District seeks a Maintenance Section Supervisor I–III to oversee a maintenance team and ensure safe, reliable roadways in the Odessa area. The role emphasizes supervision, budgeting, and coordinating crews, equipment, and contracted work.

The position offers training, growth opportunities, comprehensive benefits, and a standard daytime schedule with possible emergency calls and some travel.

Qualifications

• High School Grad or Equivalent.
• 7 years roadway maintenance or construction work for Supvr I.
• 8 years roadway maintenance or construction work for Supvr II.
• 9 years roadway maintenance or construction work for Supvr III.
• CDL Class A with N Endorsement (no restrictions).
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a maintenance section and ensure safe driving on area roads.
• Plan, coordinate, and implement emergency response to weather, floods, accidents, and hazardous material spills.
• Prepare and monitor the budget for the maintenance section.
• Prioritize and assign projects, guiding personnel, materials, and equipment needs.
• Oversee maintenance office activities including HR, PR, facilities, inventory, and admin.
• Oversee operation and maintenance of light and heavy equipment.
• Train other employees.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High School Grad or Equivalent

Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Class A with N Endorsement
