Job summary

Klamath County is seeking a Road Maintenance Worker to perform a variety of manual tasks in the maintenance of county streets and roadways. This position may be assigned to any division within the Public Works Department and requires a CDL with manual transmission and flagging certification, with First Aid/CPR obtainable after employment.

The role is hourly and non-exempt, with a wage range of $23.80 to $30.11 per hour.

Qualifications

• Education, Certification, & Experience requirements include CDL with manual transmission; flagging, first aid and CPR certificates (may be obtained after employment).
• Experience operating light to heavy trucks and machinery; knowledge of hand and power tools (drills, saws, wrenches).
• Ability to read and write simple correspondence; basic math for money, weight, volume, distance.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on county streets and roadways; operate machinery as assigned.
• Follow safety procedures and assist in various divisions within Public Works Road Department.
