Job summary

NTTA is seeking a Laborer – Roadway to maintain roadways, turf, and related components within its maintenance limits. The role involves litter removal, turf care, erosion fixes, pavement repairs, and other minor construction work across NTTA’s system.

Responsibilities include operating mowers, trucks, forklifts, and snow/ice equipment, assisting with lane closures, and responding to emergencies. This is a safety-sensitive, essential position with potential 12-hour shifts during emergencies.

Qualifications

• High school education required; no diploma needed.

Responsibilities

• Removes, replaces, and repairs guardrail, attenuators, and associated roadway safety items.
• Cleans riprap, drains, joints, as well as assists with erosion repair/prevention projects.
• Performs concrete & asphalt pavement repairs and other repair/construction tasks.
• Removes litter, debris, and unwanted items within NTTA’s maintenance limits.
• Participates in Snow and Ice Events by preparing, operating, and cleaning equipment and vehicles.
