Job summary

Vets Hired is seeking a Sweeping & Maintenance Supervisor to lead roadway sweeping and maintenance operations. You will supervise field crews, coordinate traffic control, and ensure safety and compliance with project requirements.

The role combines hands-on equipment operation with team leadership to maintain roadway safety, productivity, and quality during routine maintenance tasks. Requires workers' safety focus and ability to adapt to weather and emergencies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of roadway maintenance, sweeping, or construction experience.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or field leadership experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment including roadway sweepers, loaders, skid steers, forklifts, and asphalt rollers.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work overnight, weekends, and in severe weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Supervise roadway sweeping and maintenance crews.
• Lead routine roadway maintenance and sweeping operations.
• Operate roadway sweeping and heavy equipment as needed.
• Coordinate traffic control and ensure safe work zones.
• Monitor work quality, productivity, and safety compliance.
• Perform roadway maintenance including concrete repair and equipment operation.
