Job summary

MV Transportation is seeking a Road Supervisor to monitor street operations in accordance with client, operations, and safety department requirements. The role involves daily site checks, reporting, and ensuring on-time service delivery.

Responsibilities include supervising drivers, performing safety and cleanliness checks, responding to incidents, and supporting dispatch to resume service levels with minimal passenger disruption.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certifications according to local contract requirements.
• Previous passenger transportation in current project or similar environment required.
• Previous training and/or field supervision experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent safety and service record.
• Knowledge of local training program and local operations.
• Knowledge of client and service performance requirements.
• Ability to manage emergency situations.
• Knowledge of project specific vehicles, components and data/communications systems.
• Knowledge of State and Federal regulations and corporate safety programs and policies.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.
• Ability to communicate effectively and work with all departments.
• Ability to work independently and objectively.

Responsibilities

• Monitor street operations according to client, operations, and safety department requirements.
• Conduct site checks and road observations and report findings.
• Perform wheelchair securement and vehicle cleanliness checks.
• Monitor on-time performance and route adherence.
• Provide information to site personnel and at key locations.
• Respond to accidents and incidents, assist dispatch and operations staff.
• Accompany operators to medical facilities after accident or injury.
• Fill vacant shifts to ensure full service delivery.
• Conduct gate checks at pull-out or pull-in times and complete paperwork.
• Identify potential rerouting due to traffic or incidents.
• Ensure operators are fit for duty and licensed.
• Assist operators with service or passenger problems.
• Assist in field vehicle changes with dispatch/maintenance staff.
• Provide safety feedback to improve daily operations.
• Assess preventability of accidents and training needs.
• Document all field observations and maintain files.
