Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking a Highway Maintenance Specialist for Mesa County (Loma), CO. The role involves plowing snow, operating heavy equipment, mowing, and debris removal to keep roadways safe and passable.

You will work in a crew, respond to weather emergencies, and perform routine maintenance with safety at the forefront. The position requires a valid CDL Class A or B, at least two years of physical labor or equipment operation experience, and willingness to

Qualifications

• At least two years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.
• Must possess and maintain a valid Commercial Driver’s License Class A or B with no restriction on air brakes.
• Ability to work on-call, shift work, and respond to emergencies.
• May be required to live within thirty minutes’ driving time to respond to emergencies.
