Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Assigns and oversees the work of section and contracted crews; ensures safety guidelines.
• Assists in budget preparation for the section.
• Plans and implements emergency response to weather, accidents, and spills.
• Handles public complaints.
• Inspects maintenance contract work.
• Inspects road conditions and work progress by crews and contractors.
• Maintains records on materials, supplies and personnel.
• Operates light and heavy roadway equipment as needed.
• Oversees scheduling of equipment, materials and personnel.
