Racine County (WI) is seeking a Maintenance Worker to perform repairs and maintenance on highways, parks, buildings and facilities in Mount Pleasant. You will operate various highway and park machinery, participate in snow plowing, and respond to after-hours emergencies as needed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED and at least one year of related machinery operation experience, plus a valid Wisconsin CDL (ABCD) with tanker endorsement planned within six months.

Qualificações

• High school diploma or GED.
• One year experience operating machinery, tools, and equipment used in highway construction and maintenance.
• Valid Wisconsin Class ABCD commercial driver's license (manual/automatic transmissions).
• Have or obtain tanker endorsement within six months of employment.
• Prompt and regular attendance.
• Knowledge of safety precautions.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with co-workers, the public and management.

Responsabilidades

• Perform maintenance and repair work on highways, parks, buildings, and facilities.
• Operate equipment used in highway and park construction and maintenance.
• Plow snow and salt icy roads and parking lots.
• Availability for emergency and after-hours call-outs for diverse weather conditions
• Prepare maintenance and construction grades.
• Perform daily operator maintenance checks and preventative maintenance.
• Move equipment from one project to another.
• Operate spraying equipment.
• Report problems to dispatcher and management and receive instructions via 2-way radio.
• Perform minor repair on machinery and equipment.
• All other job duties as assigned.
