Job summary

Oasis IAM is seeking a hands-on Asset Maintenance Technician Lead for West Palm Beach, FL. You will lead a maintenance crew, manage daily tasks, and oversee safety and quality on roadway assets. The role involves outdoor work, occasional nights/weekends, and coordinating with supervisors and inspectors.

You will supervise a small team, train new members, and ensure proper PPE, traffic control, and documentation. Strong communication, problem-solving, and field maintenance skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be at least 23 years old per company insurance requirements.
• Must possess an active and valid United States driver’s license with no restrictions and be able to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) check and maintain insurability under company policy.
• Ability to obtain Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) certification; company-provided training.
• Successful completion of pre-employment screenings, including federal background check, MVR, and drug screening; ongoing compliance with the Company Drug and Alcohol Policy.
• 5 years of full-time experience in highway maintenance, highway construction, or highway materials inspection.
• Education substitution option: up to four years of the required experience may be substituted with college or technical school coursework at rate of one year of experience for every 30 semester hours.
• Willing and able to travel within the assigned district and report to different work sites; living within a reasonable response time to the yard is preferred.
• Compliance with the company's Drug and Alcohol Policy; able to pass pre-employment and random testing. A background check and job-related physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the daily work of an assigned maintenance crew; set priorities and verify safety, quality, and productivity standards.
• Conduct tailgate talks and job hazard analyses; ensure proper work zone traffic control and PPE use.
• Address performance or conduct issues promptly and escalate to management as needed.
• Assist with onboarding and training for new team members; coach on best practices.
• Communicate with clients, inspectors, and the public; provide updates on progress and issues.
• Set goals and deadlines; monitor progress and remove obstacles for safe, timely completion.
• Help team members solve technical issues with hands-on guidance.
• Perform landscape and vegetation maintenance and related tasks under certification.
• Repair and maintain drainage structures, signs, and related infrastructure.
• Complete and review work orders, timekeeping, and material records; upload photos as required.
• Manage crew logistics and keep vehicles/sites clean and organized.
• Follow all safety and environmental rules and participate in corrective actions.
