Job summary

MoDOT in Missouri is seeking a maintenance crew leader in Kewanee, MO. The role oversees a crew, sets up work zones, and maintains roadway safety while performing frontline maintenance tasks.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, a Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, five years of relevant experience, and pass a work simulation plus medical exam. This is a full-time, on-site position with MoDOT benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED/HiSET required.
• Valid Class A CDL with tanker endorsement, no air brake restrictions, interstate status (EI or NI).
• Five years of roadway/bridge/maintenance or pavement marking experience required.
• Successful completion of a work simulation exam and a medical-physical examination.

Responsibilities

• Leads crews during maintenance operations, sets up work zones and trains employees.
• Operates highway maintenance equipment such as tractors, dozers, loaders, trucks, graders and snowplows.
• Oversees material usage and may submit reports; maintains employee records.
• Inspects bridges and roadways to determine maintenance needs and progress.
• Trains employees in equipment operation and safety.
