Job summary

Colorado Department of Transportation in Granby, CO, is seeking a Highway Maintenance Specialist. You will work in a team to perform road maintenance, operate heavy equipment, plow snow, cut vegetation, and install traffic control devices, with on-call and shift requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have at least two (2) years of physical labor and/or heavy equipment operation experience.

Responsibilities

• Plowing snow and operating heavy equipment.
• Mowing grass and weeds; removing debris from roadways.
• Installing and repairing guardrails, highway markers, signs, lighting.
• Setting out signs and traffic cones for traffic control.
• Maintaining equipment and performing minor repairs.
• Responding to emergencies and working overtime as needed.
