Job summary

Conti LLC is seeking a Roadway ITS Field Maintenance Technician to support FDOT projects in Florida. You will install, program, integrate, and maintain ITS components across traffic infrastructure environments, applying hands-on electrical and network skills.

Field-based role requiring CDL (preferred) or ability to obtain; expect outdoors work year-round, troubleshooting, and reporting using MS Office and vendor software. This position offers full benefits through the union and competitive wages.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License (CDL preferred; company-sponsored CDL available)
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round in varying weather conditions
• Ability to inspect and operate aerial equipment safely
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills
• Experience with ITS or traffic signal systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain ITS components including:
• IP Cameras & Digital Video Systems
• Dynamic Message Signs (DMS)
• Vehicle Detection & WWVD Systems
• Edge-Computing Technology
• Emergency Vehicle Preemption & Transit Signal Priority
• Adaptive Traffic Signal Control
• Ramp Metering Systems
• Communications Networks
• Ground Mount & Pole Mount Cabinets
• UPS Devices
• Perform underground cable locating and inventory of ITS components
• Troubleshoot wiring, hardware, and software issues
• Adjust, repair, replace, and modify electrical components
• Operate aerial equipment such as bucket trucks and manlifts
• Use Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturer-specific software for diagnostics and reporting
