Job summary

Conti LLC in Florida is seeking an ITS Field Maintenance Technician to support FDOT roadway projects. The role includes installation, programming, integration, and maintenance of ITS components across traffic infrastructure environments.

You will troubleshoot wiring, hardware, and software, operate bucket trucks, and use office and diagnostics software. Valid driver's license required; CDL sponsorship available; you will work outdoors year-round in varying weather.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License; CDL preferred with company sponsorship.
• Willingness to work outdoors year-round in varying weather.
• Ability to inspect and operate aerial equipment safely.
• Strong troubleshooting and technical skills.
• Experience with ITS or traffic signal systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain ITS components across traffic infrastructure.
• Install IP cameras, DMS, WWVD, edge-computing tech.
• Support emergency vehicle preemption and signal priority.
• Operate and maintain ramp metering, adaptive signals, and networks.
• Troubleshoot wiring, hardware, and software issues.
• Perform underground cable locating and inventory of ITS components.
• Operate bucket trucks and manlifts, using diagnostics software.
• Report findings with Microsoft Office and vendor tools.

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated ITS Field Maintenance Technician to support FDOT roadway projects. This role involves the installation, programming, integration, and maintenance of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) components across various traffic infrastructure environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain ITS components including:
• IP Cameras & Digital Video Systems
• Dynamic Message Signs (DMS)
• Vehicle Detection & Wrong Way Vehicle Detection (WWVD) Systems
• Edge-Computing Technology
• Emergency Vehicle Preemption & Transit Signal Priority
• Adaptive Traffic Signal Control
• Ramp Metering Systems
• Communications Networks
• Ground Mount & Pole Mount Cabinets
• UPS Devices
• Perform underground cable locating and inventory of ITS components
• Troubleshoot wiring, hardware, and software issues
• Adjust, repair, replace, and modify electrical components
• Operate aerial equipment such as bucket trucks and manlifts
• Use Microsoft Office Suite and manufacturer-specific software for diagnostics and reporting

Requirements
