Job summary

SICE is seeking an Electrical ITS Technician to perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, testing and support of Intelligent Transportation Systems and traffic signal infrastructure in field environments around Orlando, FL. The role requires safe operation of bucket trucks and adherence to OSHA and client requirements.

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or GED, technical training in electrical/ITS and at least 2 years of related field experience.

Qualifications

High School Diploma, GED or equivalent required.
Technical training in electrical/ITS, traffic signals, electronics, telecommunications or related field preferred.
Minimum of 2 years in electrical/ITS/traffic signal/roadway tech field preferred.

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, troubleshoot, repair and test ITS devices and traffic signal systems.
Perform electrical wiring, conduit installation and field repairs.
Inspect and maintain CCTV, fiber optic and network devices and other ITS assets.
Operate bucket trucks and lifts safely in roadway environments.
Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications.
Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance and on-site diagnostics.
Support testing, commissioning and project closeout activities.
Coordinate with supervisors, engineers and contractors as needed.
