Job summary

Caton Construction Group is seeking an Equipment Operator for a roadway project in Fluvanna County, Virginia. The role involves operating heavy equipment, performing routine maintenance, and supporting site work in a busy field environment.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and four years' experience with medium and heavy equipment; a CDL license is preferred. Normal hours are Monday–Friday with possible overtime and local or out-of-town work as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years' experience operating medium and heavy equipment.
• CDL license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate bulldozer, backhoe, road grader or front-end loader and assist in moving dirt and materials.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance; report defects to supervisor.
• Follow safety and security standards in all tasks.
