Job summary

Caton Construction Group is hiring a Heavy Equipment Operator for our Farmville, VA project. You will operate a range of contractor equipment, perform daily maintenance, and help grade and prepare sites in a safety-conscious environment.

The role requires a high school diploma and four years of heavy equipment experience; a CDL license is preferred. Normal hours are Monday–Friday with potential overtime and overnight travel as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Four years’ experience using medium and heavy equipment.
• CDL license preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Operate a bulldozer, excavator, road grader or front-end loader to move dirt and grade sites.
• Perform routine inspection and preventive maintenance on equipment; report defects.
• Adhere to safety and security standards in all tasks.
