Job summary

JMT invites motivated civil engineering students to join its Round Rock, TX internship program. You will work on real projects, edit drawings in MicroStation using Power Geopak and OpenRoads Designer, and gather design data with a collaborative team.

Qualifications include pursuing an undergraduate civil engineering degree with an interest in transportation/highway projects, and readiness to participate in seminars and presentations during the internship.

Qualifications

• Full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in civil engineering.
• Interest in transportation/highway engineering projects.

Responsibilities

• Edit and update engineering drawings in MicroStation with Power Geopak and OpenRoads Designer.
• Obtain design data from adjacent or similar projects and go-bys.
• Coordinate new small-scale projects with a team.
• Assemble data and research design standards and site information.
• Provide input on solutions using engineering fundamentals.
• Assist with layout and design of routine small/medium projects.
• Develop and prepare specifications; maintain project documentation.
• Participate in weekly seminars and final internship presentation.
