Job summary

JMT is offering a hands‑on internship program in Round Rock, Texas, for engineering students pursuing civil engineering degrees with an interest in transportation projects. Qualifications

Full‑time student, rising junior or senior currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in civil engineering with an interest in transportation/highway engineering projects.
Strong interest in applying civil engineering concepts to real projects.
Coursework in related field is preferred.
Previous internship experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

Enter data into systems and maintain project records.
Edit and update engineering drawings using MicroStation, PowerGeopak and OpenRoads Designer.
Obtain design data from adjacent or similar projects and go‑bys for accuracy.
Coordinate small to medium projects with the team.
Assemble data and research design standards and site information.
Provide input on solutions using basic engineering fundamentals.
Assist with layout and design of routine small to medium projects.
Develop and prepare project specifications.
Maintain current project documentation.
Participate in weekly seminars and the internship program presentations.
