The Roadway Engineer II supports the planning design and delivery of transportation infrastructure projects throughout Georgia contributing to roadway drainage grading and site development improvements that enhance community mobility and safety. This role performs engineering analyses prepares design documents and develops construction plans using industry standard software such as MicroStation and OpenRoads under the guidance of senior engineering staff. The Roadway Engineer II collaborates closely with project managers surveyors planners and other engineering disciplines to ensure projects are completed accurately efficiently and in compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Responsibilities include reviewing technical data preparing reports and calculations participating in project meetings and providing engineering support throughout the design and construction process. The ideal candidate possesses strong technical communication and problem solving skills along with a commitment to delivering high quality engineering solutions for clients and communities. Candidates with an alternate degree may be considered if they are licensed in Illinois and possess equivalent professional experience
2 to 6 years of professional experience in transportation engineering
Experience in project management business development wetland delineations or other related engineering disciplines preferred
Additional skills certifications or specialized experience may be considered based on project and client needs
