Job summary

HDR is seeking a Roadway EIT/Coordinator to support detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects. You will work within HDR's Transportation Business Group to help advance highways, streets, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG features for federal, state, and local clients.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and a commitment to HDR’s employee-owned culture. Proficiency with MicroStation and AutoCAD is preferred; EIT is expected for career progression.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field.
  • Active participant in HDR's employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Design transportation systems including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities for Federal, State, and Local clients.
  • Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction cost estimates.
  • Support the creation and submission of technical reports, memos, specifications, and calculations.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Roadway EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:
  • Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects of varying size and complexity.
  • Design transportation systems including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities for Federal, State, and Local clients.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d
