Job summary

HDR invites applications for a Roadway EIT/Coordinator to join our Transportation Business Group in Colorado. You will collaborate with project engineers on urban and rural transportation designs, including highways, streets, and ADA facilities, for federal, state, and local clients.

Your work will include alignment, profiles, drainage, plan development, and cost estimation. Preferred candidates hold an EIT and are proficient with MicroStation/AutoCAD; familiarity with Bentley/Autodesk tools is

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field is required.
• Active participation in our employee-owned culture is required; commitment to collaboration is essential.
• EIT certificate preferred or progress toward licensure; Design Coordinator track if no EIT yet.

Responsibilities

• Work on a team with other project engineers on detailed design of transportation projects.
• Design transportation systems including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities for Federal, State, and Local clients.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction cost estimates.
• Support the creation and submission of technical reports, memos, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Roadway EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Work on a team with other project engineers on the detailed design of urban and rural transportation projects of varying size and complexity.
• Design transportation systems including highways, streets, sidewalks, trails, bike lanes, and ADA/PROWAG facilities for Federal, State, and Local clients.
• Take responsibility for alignment and profile, geometrics, drainage, development of plans and construction cost estimates.
• Support the creation and submission of technical reports, memos, specifications, and calculations.
• Perform other duties as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
• Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
• Proficient with MicroStation and/or AutoCAD, familiarity and demonstrated experience with Highways and Roads engineering software such as Bentley ConceptStation and Open Roads Designer and/or Autodesk Infraworks and Civil3d

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or similar field
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
